Who We Are

  • Founder

Brandan “BMike” Odums is a New Orleans-based visual artist who, through exhibitions, public programs, and public art works, is engaged in a transnational dialogue about the intersection of art and resistance. Most often working with spray paint, Odums paints brightly-colored, wall-sized murals that depict historical figures, contemporary creatives, and everyday people.

  • Story

Since 2016, Studio BE has developed itself as a landmark and cultural destination in New Orleans. A product of alchemy, a space for artists and the things they create. A space for the local community and the culture that comes from it , and a welcomed space for visitors across the globe - a place all those voices go to sharpen their critical voice and imagine a future that benefits us all.

For the last 5 years, under the leadership of Bmike, the Studio BE warehouse has converted the public focus of Bmike's solo work into opportunities to foster creativity and entrapernouaship. Leveraging cultural capital into a new type of cultural tourism that invests into and gives room for culture grow.

This year, we made the decision to expand our work into what is now our 501(c)(3) organization, Eternal Seeds. We're extremely grateful for the impact this certification will have on our commitment to serve the New Orleans creative community.

  • Team

The Eternal Seeds Team is made up of creatives of a variety of art forms. All of who are passionate about the responsibility of art. We center all of our work around education, empowerment, and the preservation of New Orleans Black history and culture. Harnessing the power of creative expression and community, we provide young artists with the tools they need to become the revolutionary leaders and shapers of a more just, equitable, and artful world.
